Blessey Marine - Customer Case Study

Blessey Marine, a major inland waterway towing and barge operator, needed reliable propulsion and onboard power for its growing fleet of towboats, including its newest vessel, the M/V Tom Cotton. The company turned to Cummins for main engines and generator power to support the boat’s demanding work on American inland waterways.

Cummins supplied two 660 HP QSK19 main engines and two QSB7-DM-powered 85 kW generators, along with the propulsion and electrical systems needed for the vessel’s operation. The result was a well-equipped towboat with strong handling, dependable onboard power, and the capability to join Blessey Marine’s expanding fleet, including sister ship M/V Meg Kennedy Moore, supporting continued fleet growth.
