Blessey Marine Continues Growth

TowBoatPhoto, a marine operator growing its inland fleet, needed versatile pushboats that could handle both the shallow waters of the Intracoastal Waterway and the stronger currents of the Mississippi River. Cummins provided the main propulsion and auxiliary power for these vessels, including K38M main engines and QSB7DM generator sets.

Cummins supplied the solution by equipping the new towboat with two 850-HP K38M engines, paired with Reintjes WAF474 marine gears, and a pair of 85 kW QSB7DM generator sets. The result was a 1700-HP class vessel built for both efficiency and power, helping TowBoatPhoto expand its fleet with a proven, high-performance configuration from Cummins.
