Bardney Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Plant - Customer Case Study

Bardney Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Plant in Bardney, Lincolnshire, UK needed a reliable way to turn farm-grown crops into methane and export renewable electricity to the grid as part of its pioneering anaerobic digestion operation. The customer selected Cummins for a turnkey power generation solution, including a 2MW C2000 N5C low-BTU gas generator set and supporting electrical infrastructure.

Cummins designed and supplied the full system, including attenuation, radiators, control panels, site power distribution, and a low-to-high voltage transformer, along with room design support and a 10-year full repair and maintenance contract. The plant now operates 24/7/365 and can export 2 MWe to the grid, with the Cummins solution also designed to support future heat recovery and cogeneration expansion.
