Back Cove Yachts - Customer Case Study

Back Cove Yachts wanted to deliver a long-range coastal cruiser that balanced comfort, practicality, fuel economy, and reliable performance for owner-operators and couples. To power the Back Cove 37, the company worked with Cummins, using Cummins 600hp QSC 8.3 diesel engines for the model.

Cummins helped Back Cove Yachts create a fuel-efficient, single-engine cruiser with strong range, excellent maneuverability, and easy maintenance access. The Back Cove 37 cruises at 16 knots with a range of 380 nautical miles, runs at 22.6 gallons per hour with a 300-nautical-mile range, and tops out at 29 knots; according to Back Cove, the Cummins QSC 8.3 runs beautifully and supports the boat’s popularity as the company’s most successful model since 2009.
