Atlantica Mare Village, a beach resort in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, needed to upgrade its standby power system after a major expansion added rooms, air conditioning, and 27 new swimming pools. The increased load pushed its existing 250 kVA setup beyond capacity, and the resort also needed a solution that could fit into a confined room, reduce noise, and cope with humid seaside conditions. Cummins supplied an 825 kVA C825D5A generator set with engine coolant heater, alternator heater, and a free-standing fuel tank.

Cummins, working with distributor Uniplant, installed the open generator set and custom silencers/exhaust piping to preserve the resort’s appearance while ensuring reliable operation. The project was completed within a tight timeline, and the new standby power system was delivered before the start of the summer season. The upgraded installation also supported longer runtime during grid failure thanks to the 1,350-liter fuel tank.
