ASL Shipyard in Singapore was busy building a range of marine vessels, including a new diesel-electric emergency vessel for Danish operator Esvagt. The challenge was to equip the vessel with a reliable propulsion and power setup suited to demanding offshore service, using Cummins marine equipment.

Cummins supplied five KTA19D generators for the Esvagt Capri, the latest in Esvagt’s series of emergency vessels. The vessel neared completion at ASL Shipyard with this Cummins-powered diesel-electric system in place, supporting a successful build and preparation for its official naming ceremony.
