Asiacell, Iraq’s largest mobile phone operator, needed reliable prime power for thousands of communication towers across the country, including remote and challenging regions. To support this, Cummins supplied generator sets and controls, including C15, C22, C33 and C38 models with PCC1301 system control, transfer switches, and paralleling systems.

Cummins implemented 750 enclosed generator sets per year to provide dependable prime power for Asiacell’s network, helping ensure uninterrupted service for mobile users nationwide. The solution also met Asiacell’s requirements for low noise and vibration, and supported coverage for about 8,000 communications towers, with MICTA handling installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
