Al Faris Equipment Rentals LLC supported Hyundai Engineering and Construction at a polysilicon plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, where the challenge was to provide reliable temporary power for commissioning and possible continuous operation until utility power became available. Cummins supplied PowerBox™ C1250 D2R containerised rental generator sets to meet the site’s demanding power needs in a hot, dusty, high-humidity environment with limited space.

Cummins worked with Al Faris to deliver a compact rental power plant that started at 5 MW, expanded to 15 MW, and ultimately reached 33 MW without interruption in service. The containerised generators and PowerCommand® Controls delivered stable voltage and frequency while handling large inductive and resistive loads, enabling the polysilicon facility to continue testing and commissioning on schedule.
