Cytovance Biologics doubles titer in six runs with Culture Biosciences

Cytovance Biologics was facing aggressive development timelines and needed to accelerate its bioprocess development. To expand its internal capacity and meet its technical milestones, Cytovance partnered with vendor Culture Biosciences to utilize their on-demand Cloud Bioreactor Lab service.

Working with Culture Biosciences, Cytovance transferred a fermentation process which was then downscaled, modified, and improved via a Design of Experiment (DoE). This collaboration enabled Cytovance to verify and transfer the improved process back to its own facilities in just a few experiments. As a result of the solution implemented by Culture Biosciences, Cytovance Biologics achieved a two-fold increase in titer over the course of only six experimental runs.
