How ShopBack is using Cube to build custom embedded analytics with minimal effort

ShopBack, a leading e-commerce rewards platform in Asia-Pacific, needed a better way to power dashboard reporting and embedded analytics for internal teams and merchant partners. As its data volume grew, the company faced slow query performance and wanted a solution that fit its relational data model, so it chose Cube Dev and Cube for embedded analytics and pre-aggregated OLAP-style reporting.

Cube Dev helped ShopBack implement Cube with pre-aggregations, caching, and a custom architecture on Postgres, React, Node.js, and Redis. This reduced p95 query load times from about 50 seconds to around 20 seconds, and then to under 5 seconds after further optimization; ShopBack is still targeting sub-1-second p95 performance.
