Case Study: Cuboh cuts customer report times from 10+ seconds to under 2 with Cube Dev

A Cube Dev Case Study

Preview of the Cuboh Case Study

How Cuboh decreased 100,000-row customer report times from 10’s of seconds to less than 2

Cuboh, a FoodTech company based in Victoria, BC, helps restaurants consolidate delivery apps and POS systems into one tablet while offering centralized reporting and menu management. As order volume grew, Cuboh’s existing data structure couldn’t efficiently handle millions of rows, causing slow customer reporting and making it difficult to deliver low-latency, near-real-time ledger-based reports. To solve this, they turned to Cube Dev and its semantic layer capabilities.

Cube Dev implemented Cube as a microservice on Cuboh’s AWS infrastructure, using its relational database compatibility, REST API, two-level caching, and pre-aggregation features to power faster reporting. The result was a dramatic performance improvement: real-time and historical report generation dropped from 10’s of seconds to less than 2 seconds, while also reducing backend complexity and saving an estimated 14 weeks of engineering time.
