A CTG Case Study
A major life insurance company, NN Belgium, faced the significant challenge of modernizing its IT infrastructure to ensure 24/7 availability for its brokers, while also securing and managing a complex back-end of legacy systems. These legacy systems, some with contracts spanning 40 years, had to be adaptable to constantly changing regulations. The company partnered with its vendor, CTG (through its parent company Cegeka), to find a solution that would enhance cybersecurity and create a more maintenance-friendly hybrid cloud environment.
CTG implemented a comprehensive solution, analyzing and mapping NN's entire data flow to optimize the value chain. The resulting hybrid cloud infrastructure, partly on shared platforms and partly on dedicated servers, was specifically designed for the client's needs, ensuring seamless and secure communication between all systems. This provided NN Belgium with a highly reliable back-end for internal functions and an "always on" front-end for its brokers. The partnership evolved into a strategic collaboration, giving NN a holistic view of its IT infrastructure and the agility to quickly respond to new security threats and market changes.
