A large West Coast hospital system faced challenges with its cumbersome, paper-based surgical consent process. The system caused delays, introduced errors, and left patients with insufficient time to review forms before surgery. To address this, the hospital partnered with CTG to digitize and streamline the process using Epic's E-Consent module.

CTG implemented and activated the Epic E-Consent system, providing expert training for the hospital's staff. The new digital solution allows providers to send consent forms to patients securely in advance via MyChart, improving the informed consent process and patient safety. This implementation by CTG saved an estimated 1,875 staff hours and was successfully deployed across five centers in just 18 days.
