Israel’s Largest Telco Protects SMB Data Using CTERA’s All-in-One Cloud Storage Gateways

Bezeq, Israel’s largest telecommunications provider, wanted to leverage a new state-of-the-art cloud datacenter to expand its SMB business services by offering cloud-based data protection. The challenge was to deliver a secure, easy-to-use backup and disaster-recovery service that would replace legacy file servers and tape backups while fitting the operational and pricing expectations of small and mid-sized businesses.

Using CTERA’s “Powered by CTERA” hybrid solution, Bezeq deployed managed cloud storage gateways that combine local performance with cloud-based resilience, delivered as a fully branded “Bezeq Remote Backup for Business” service from its datacenter. The service provides automated local and cloud backups for servers, desktops and laptops, remote restore from single files to full disk images via the CTERA Portal, and proved quick to deploy, secure, and simple for SMB customers—allowing Bezeq to rapidly offer cloud data protection at scale.
