A CTERA Networks Case Study
Israel Railways, the state-owned operator with over 3,500 employees, faced a security risk from staff using unprotected public file‑sharing tools to sync and share files with clients and suppliers. IT needed a modern, easy‑to‑manage collaboration solution that would enable anywhere access while enforcing strict privacy, data protection and centralized control in a private cloud.
After testing, the company deployed the CTERA Enterprise File Services platform with agents on desktops and mobile devices, source‑based AES‑256 encryption, user private keys and a centralized CTERA Portal for policy and device management. The rollout delivered time‑limited access, policy‑controlled external sharing and versioning, enabling secure team workspaces, higher productivity and full IT control and monitoring, with all data stored in Bezeq International’s secure local datacenter.
