CTERA and EMC ViPR Power POST Telecom’s Business Customers Cloud Storage Services

POST Telecom, Luxembourg’s largest communications operator, needed to rapidly launch a private-branded cloud storage service (ClouDrive) that offered secure file sync & share, mobile collaboration, and in-cloud plus endpoint backup. Customers required enterprise-grade security, strict Luxembourg-only data residency, multi-tenant isolation, easy administration, and the ability to scale to tens of thousands of users—requirements that had to be met quickly without rebuilding POST’s existing storage infrastructure.

POST deployed a combined CTERA and EMC solution—CTERA’s cloud services platform with EMC Isilon and ViPR—to deliver a scalable, secure, and fully hosted ClouDrive offering. The integrated solution provided encryption, AD/SSO integration, multi-tenancy, automated provisioning, and API-driven billing/self-service while leveraging existing arrays, reducing time-to-market and TCO. The result: a POST-branded cloud service hosted in Luxembourg that meets regulatory and performance needs, supports large-scale customer growth, and offers enterprise-grade security with consumer ease of use.
