UAB Gets New Facility And New Campus Recreation Software

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) opened a 150,000 sq. ft. Campus Recreation Center in 2005 with extensive facilities but was transitioning from a small student-center office that managed operations without software. Moving into a large, state-of-the-art facility created a pressing need to replace pencil-and-paper recordkeeping with a scalable system that could handle increased traffic, data volume, and security requirements.

CSI, a division of Daxko, implemented its Spectrum campus recreation software using a phased rollout and on-site training so staff could open the new facility while learning the system. The solution improved staff productivity, enhanced security, enabled accurate data collection and reporting, and elevated customer service—with ongoing support from CSI throughout implementation and beyond.
