The Northwest Territories, a vast, sparsely populated and extremely cold jurisdiction, needed to centralize licensing, application tracking and data management for boilers, pressure vessels and skilled trades to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Faced with strict laws requiring triennial certifications, annual registrations and permits, dispersed records and manual renewals created operational risk. CSDC Inc provided the AMANDA system to address these challenges.

CSDC Inc implemented AMANDA as a centralized tracking and data-management platform that automates permit and license workflows: it schedules renewal letters, prints invoices, collects fees, issues receipts, and gives mobile access to inspectors with checklists and the ability to upload inspection results. Launched for the Northwest Territories on April 1, 1999, the solution streamlined annual registrations, licensing administration and field inspections, improving compliance tracking, renewal processing and fee collection across the territory.
