City of Vancouver, British Columbia, manages 200 types of licences, issues over 95,000 licences per year and collects more than $11 million annually. To handle this scale and complexity the City of Vancouver selected CSDC Inc’s AMANDA platform (with AMANDA Web Services) as a configurable, scalable licensing solution.

CSDC Inc implemented AMANDA to automate licensing workflows, batch-process renewals, generate enforcement and revenue reports, and power a public web portal for online renewals. The solution links licences, tracks location- and owner-based rules (including dog licences), enforces company-name checks to prevent fraud, and enabled about 15% of renewals to move online—reducing staff workload, improving renewal rates through staggered renewals, strengthening fee collection and lowering operating costs while supporting the city’s ongoing processing of ~95,000 licences and $11M in annual collections.
