The City of Burlington, serving over 150,000 residents, faced an aging, non‑integrated property and tax system that demanded heavy IT support, lacked Y2K certainty, and hindered efforts to keep roughly 60,000 property records up to date. To gain more functionality, flexibility and faster performance with less dependence on IT, the City selected AMANDA from CSDC Inc.

CSDC Inc implemented its AMANDA/AMANDA Tax platform across property information, building permits, licensing, planning and finance, standardizing property and people data on a single citywide database. The deployment eliminated duplicate entries, gave tax staff the ability to change business rules and run ad‑hoc reports without IT, ensured compliance with legislative changes and tax installment deadlines, enabled electronic permit reporting to MPAC to accelerate assessments and maximize revenue, and reduced paper use by introducing a double‑sided final tax bill.
