Easing Provision Workbook Woes with Point-of-View Connections

Sherwin-Williams struggled with error-prone, manually maintained provision workbooks: data came from multiple sources, sharing required copying and pasting, and the tax team lacked centralized GL data and standardized workpaper formats. To fix this, Sherwin-Williams implemented CSC Corptax, using CSC Corptax Office with Point-of-View (POV) data connections to secure and streamline provision data storage and sharing.

CSC Corptax delivered four new POV connections from pre-defined Corptax tables so workbooks automatically pull current GL and computed amounts when data is pushed into Corptax. The vendor’s solution refreshes Profit Before Tax and M-1 adjustments in real time, automates journal-entry preparation, minimizes manual intervention and misstatement risk, and speeds audit, analysis, and secure internal/external collaboration.
