ProMessa - Customer Case Study

ProMessa BV, a Dutch maker of pre-packed meat products supplying about 1,200 supermarkets (e.g., Coop, Spar, Plus), faced rising demand for fast, small-quantity and same-day deliveries while relying on manual intralogistics. To modernize and scale its operations it partnered with CSB-Automation AG, deploying the CSB‑System software alongside robotic handling, conveyor systems, sorters and weigh‑labeling lines.

CSB-Automation AG implemented an integrated intralogistics solution—ERP/CSB‑System-controlled automatic crate storages, gantry robots, four weigh‑labeling lines with connected sorters, conveyors and goods‑to‑person pick stations—that decoupled production from picking and automated storage/re-stacking and order consolidation. The result: output nearly doubled (often >100,000 packages/day, peak 150,000 at Christmas 2015), turnover rose to over €70 million, delivery performance exceeded 99%, picking throughput reached 5,000–7,500 packages/hour, typical orders ship within 12 hours, and buffer stocks fell to a one‑day reserve — all without a major increase in staff.
