Incarlopsa transforms a 70,000 m² abattoir with CSB-System

Incarlopsa, a Spanish pork producer, faced the challenge of modernizing its production system to handle a high weekly processing volume of up to 70,000 pigs. To achieve this, the company embarked on a major digitalization project and partnered with vendor CSB-System AG, whose ERP system they had been using since 2016, to automate its new abattoir and ensure end-to-end traceability.

The solution implemented by CSB-System involved a three-phase digitalization process. This included automating the abattoir with RFID-controlled equipment for traceability, implementing a computer-aided cutting system with real-time yield control, and deploying the CSB Eyedentifier for visual product identification. The results were a fully digitalized 70,000 m² facility capable of processing 600 pigs per hour, complete traceability from reception to storage, and optimized intralogistics. The measurable impact included the ability to produce over 5 million hams per year with enormous economic potential and the elimination of the warehouse as a "black box" through complete inventory visibility.
