Enhancing Performance and User Experience Through Next.js and Crystallize

Sweef, a Swedish furniture retailer known for its customizable, on-demand products, faced significant challenges with its previous PrestaShop platform. The monolithic system lacked the flexibility and speed needed to manage complex product configurations and deliver a superior user experience. After an initial failed upgrade attempt, the challenge was passed to ZCO Stockholm, which partnered with Crystallize to develop a new solution.

The vendor, Crystallize, provided its highly customizable PIM and commerce engine to model Sweef's complex, modular products and dynamic pricing. This was paired with a Next.js front end to create a high-performing site. The solution greatly improved webshop performance, passing Core Web Vitals, and led to a seamless user journey with improved CTRs. Most significantly, Sweef experienced an uptick in sales despite a 46% downturn in Sweden's overall furniture market.
