Mastercard Europe, a major payments organization, faced significant challenges in manually updating cryptographic keys across its vast network of member banks. To address this, they partnered with vendor Cryptomathic to implement its Crypto Key Management System (CKMS).

Cryptomathic developed a centralized Key Management Centre, which automated the entire key lifecycle management process. This solution provided Mastercard Europe with a single, secure operations venue, eliminating manual updates and enabling keys to be pushed to all Network Security Platforms with a single click. The results included a major reduction in manual workload, enhanced network security, and significantly more efficient and auditable operations across the entire network.
