OptiNose, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on ENT and allergy products, needed a flexible, user-friendly electronic data capture (EDC) system for a new study. Having historically outsourced data management, the team wanted to gain more control by building and managing the study in-house, while also ensuring the platform could support multilingual use, reusability of study components, and future protocol changes. Crucial Data Solutions (CDS) and its TrialKit EDC platform were selected to help meet these goals.

Crucial Data Solutions trained OptiNose’s data manager to design and oversee the study directly in TrialKit, including a sandbox practice build that was then carried over into production. The result was a highly flexible, intuitive, multilingual platform that enabled OptiNose to self-sufficiently manage the study with minimal outside help, reuse forms and workflows, and make database changes without change orders or lengthy delays. OptiNose reported significant value within budget, no out-of-scope issues, and a true partner relationship with Crucial Data Solutions.
