Unilever, a global CPG leader with over 400 brands and more than 60 websites in 22 languages, needed to overhaul its global web presence with a new design, structure and brand guidelines while managing a devolved publishing model. The challenge was to migrate and optimize content across dozens of localized sites without sacrificing the quality or compliance of live sites during a months‑long rollout.
Crownpeak DQM supported the relaunch by running two parallel instances—one for the legacy sites and one configured to the new brand standards—enabling staged QA, automated compliance checks, and direct click-through error resolution in the CMS. The approach ensured sites went live fully compliant, maintained brand consistency, reduced human error, sped up sign-off and troubleshooting, and substantially increased editorial productivity.
