Crownpeak Dqm Ensures Worldwide Consistency Of Persil Websites

Persil, Unilever’s global laundry brand, needed a scalable way to relaunch and maintain dozens of complex, multilingual websites as part of Unilever’s Digital 2.0 program. With heavy user-generated content (hundreds of articles per market) and strict brand, SEO, accessibility and legal standards, manual checks were time-consuming and unsustainable — Unilever required a solution that balanced central control with local editorial flexibility to ensure a consistent worldwide experience.

Unilever and agency Golin deployed Crownpeak Digital Quality Management (DQM) for pre-publication checks, automated monitoring and intuitive dashboards (including an in‑page Page Analyzer). DQM caught hidden code issues (duplicate H1s, broken links, missing metadata, oversized images, missing analytics, privacy/legal omissions), highlighted locally relevant fixes, and propagated code improvements across sites. The result was high-quality launches and ongoing compliance, reduced manual effort, improved brand and user experience, and a continued rollout to 30 additional country sites.
