Firstpost wanted an innovative way to create advertiser value and increase engagement around its Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 coverage. Working with Crowdynews, it partnered with OPPO Mobiles to add a branded social media experience to its site, using the campaign hashtag #CT17SelfieExpert.
Crowdynews provided a real-time, AI-powered social media stream that surfaced fan posts, official handles, and live geo-tracked updates from stadiums, with moderation tools to keep content safe and relevant. The campaign performed strongly: nearly 10% of readers who saw the stream clicked to enlarge a post, and those users viewed an average of 1.5 additional posts, demonstrating deeper engagement with the Crowdynews-powered unit.
