Great American Insurance Group, a 150-year-old specialty property and casualty insurer, needed to replace a legacy on-premises log management system that required heavy maintenance, was costly to collect and retain data, and didn’t scale for future needs. After a proof-of-concept, Great American selected CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale for its fast ingestion, sub‑second searches, role‑based access and smooth onboarding at a straightforward price. The move expanded log use from fewer than 10 users to over 1,000, enables searching 3 billion events in under a second, lengthened retention, and delivered faster detection and resolution across security, DevOps, ITOps and compliance — at roughly one-third the cost of comparable platforms.
