Montage Health Consolidates Its Cybersecurity Strategy with CrowdStrike

Montage Health, a California nonprofit healthcare system, faced escalating cyberthreats—DDoS, phishing and social engineering—while its attack surface grew with more networked medical devices, employee-owned endpoints, AI and cloud services. CTO/CISO Tahir Ali found a patchwork of non‑integrated legacy tools and no 24/7 coverage, creating gaps in detection and response across the organization’s environment.

After a successful proof of concept, Montage consolidated onto the CrowdStrike Falcon platform—deploying the lightweight agent to 5,000+ endpoints and adding Falcon Insight XDR, Falcon LogScale, Falcon Prevent, Identity Protection and Falcon Complete 24/7 managed detection and response. The result: zero breaches, 24/7 MDR, five times fewer events requiring investigation (monthly events fell from 11 to 2), monthly investigations dropped from 102 to 56, and average triage time fell from hours to just 53 seconds.
