Case Study: City of Phoenix achieves rapid, comprehensive endpoint protection with CrowdStrike

A CrowdStrike Case Study

Preview of the City of Phoenix Case Study

Fifth Largest City in the U.S. Deploys World-Class Endpoint Security and Services to Protect Diverse Infrastructure

The City of Phoenix, the fifth-largest U.S. city serving about 1.6 million residents and 13,000 employees across diverse, autonomous departments, faced a fragmented, largely on-premises legacy security stack, a shortage of security professionals, and growing ransomware and sophisticated attack risks. The city’s CISO conducted a formal EDR evaluation to validate endpoint protection and improve visibility and threat response across its complex municipal environment.

Phoenix deployed the CrowdStrike Falcon platform with Falcon Complete managed detection and response and an Incident Response retainer, rolling protection out to roughly 20,000 endpoints and becoming operational in under 24 hours. CrowdStrike immediately detected attacks other tools missed, enabled continuous remote security during COVID, provided 24/7 expert threat hunting and rapid incident support (including during SolarWinds), and delivered comprehensive, easy-to-manage endpoint protection and faster incident resolution.
