Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions, a large North Carolina managed care organization serving millions of people, faced critical security gaps: limited to no visibility across thousands of endpoints and traditional defenses that missed advanced attacks. With personal healthcare information (PHI) at high risk, leaders recognized they needed faster detection and a partner able to provide continuous monitoring and response.

After a proof-of-concept, Cardinal implemented CrowdStrike Falcon’s cloud-native endpoint protection and 24/7 Security Operations Center, gaining real-time, 360° endpoint visibility. Response times dropped from days or weeks to minutes, multiple attacks (including phishing incidents) were stopped and malicious emails removed, and the team gained the ability to reconstruct events and better protect PHI.
