Berkshire Bank Accelerates Digital Transformation and Multi-Channel Customer Services with CrowdStrike

Berkshire Bank, a Boston-based financial institution, faced rising cyber risk as it pursued digital transformation and expanded online banking — including API security, zero-day vulnerabilities, third-party cloud risk and increasing identity attacks. SVP and CISO Ryan Melle says the bank needed to enable customer and employee access while reducing the time and cost of managing legacy AV tools and limited visibility into identity threats.

Berkshire built a unified, cloud-native security stack on the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, deploying modules such as Falcon Identity Threat Protection, Insight XDR, OverWatch, Prevent, Discover and Device Control. The deployment (covering 2,000 endpoints) delivered faster, frictionless rollout and stronger Zero Trust controls, dramatically improved overall security, cut alert fatigue and false positives, and increased SOC efficiency with faster detection and incident response — also helping the bank demonstrate improved insurability.
