A CrowdStrike Case Study
The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV), a Melbourne-based motoring and mutual organisation serving more than two million members, needed to protect member data and ensure business continuity across 3,200 endpoints (workstations, servers, POS and vehicle devices). RACV was challenged by increasingly frequent and sophisticated threats while relying on legacy, resource-intensive antivirus and a complex mix of endpoint tools that slowed detection, response and maintenance.
RACV implemented CrowdStrike’s cloud-native Falcon platform and managed detection and response, completing rollout in months with minimal disruption. The deployment simplified policies, increased automation and visibility, reduced endpoint resource use and delivered strong business value: a 322% ROI with payback in under three months, ~90% reduction in deployment/configuration/maintenance cost and time, over 80% improvement in security efficiency, and a productivity gain of about five minutes per device per day across 3,200 endpoints.
