Visit Oakland, the destination marketing organization for the city of Oakland, needed a better way to showcase the community-driven spirit behind the destination. Faced with limited bandwidth and an inefficient mix of visual marketing tools, Visit Oakland evaluated several options and switched to CrowdRiff’s user-generated content (UGC) platform to streamline UGC management and surface more authentic, people-centered imagery.
CrowdRiff delivered a cleaner, more intuitive interface, bulk rights-request tools, and simple integration with their Simpleview CMS, enabling Visit Oakland to do more in less time. With CrowdRiff they expanded UGC beyond website galleries into email newsletters, event photo walls and a dedicated Visitor Center display pulling from #OaklandLoveIt, improved workflow efficiency, and increased the authenticity and reach of their visual marketing.
