How Hornblower Niagara Cruises Used Crowdriff To Build A Visual Content Library Valued At $30,000

Hornblower Niagara Cruises, the operator of the Niagara Falls boat tours, struggled to capture and manage authentic visual marketing: despite thousands of guest photos on social media they only had rights to about 30–40 images and relied on spreadsheets and screenshots to track approvals. After seeing Niagara Falls Tourism use CrowdRiff’s Hashtag Rights feature, Hornblower evaluated and signed up for CrowdRiff to simplify rights collection and scale their visual content program.

Using CrowdRiff, Hornblower requested rights to more than 20,000 images and videos in the first two weeks and secured roughly 7–8,000, growing to over 14,000 user-generated visuals overall—building a visual library CrowdRiff estimates at about $30,000 and saving an estimated $20–30K compared with producing equivalent content. CrowdRiff’s Hashtag Rights, UGC Partner Network and AI-driven galleries also helped surface high-performing visuals for international campaigns and website galleries, while streamlining asset sharing with partners.
