A Crowdin Case Study
Maxthon, an international browser company used by over 100 million people, struggled with a chaotic, community-driven localization process—multiple translators using different tools, inconsistent terminology across products, and no centralized approval or workflow. To address this, Maxthon chose Crowdin and its localization management platform (including Crowdin’s Translation Memory) to coordinate contributors, enforce consistency, and enable reuse of translations between projects.
Crowdin centralized translator management, provided glossaries, context (screenshots), notifications and a shared Translation Memory, and gave Maxthon visibility into progress and discussions. As a result Crowdin helped Maxthon deliver consistent, high-quality translations on schedule: Windows localized into 59 languages, Android into 55, and Maxthon products now available in more than 50 languages.
