How Ethereum.org Ensures Quality of Community Translations at Crowdin

Ethereum needed to make complex, technical and educational content accessible in many native languages while managing thousands of volunteer translators and ensuring quality. To solve this, Ethereum chose Crowdin and adopted its collaboration-focused tools — including Translation Memory, Glossary, crowdsourcing, the Video Preview app, and integration with a professional translation agency — to simplify onboarding and coordinate a distributed community.

Crowdin enabled a continuous workflow (pre-translation with TM, community translation, agency proofreading, and automatic pulls to the site) plus project glossaries and style guides to maintain consistency. As a result, Ethereum has 87 target languages enabled with 48 live on the website, supports 3,800+ translators across 5 localization projects, and has translated over 5 million words to date, accelerating time-to-market and expanding global reach.
