Case Study: Aviasales achieves 10× more app downloads and biweekly multilingual releases with Crowdin

A Crowdin Case Study

Preview of the Aviasales Case Study

How Aviasales got x10 more app downloads and now releases multilingual app versions every two weeks

Aviasales, a travel-software company that helps users find low-cost flights and hotels, needed to scale its iOS/Android/Windows apps into 40+ languages but was slowed by a manual localization workflow: managing 30+ freelancers, uploading/downloading files, and creating GitHub pull requests that delayed biweekly releases. To automate and streamline the process they engaged Crowdin, using Crowdin’s GitHub integration, Translation Memory, screenshot uploads, duplicate-hiding and automated QA features to support continuous localization.

Crowdin synced Aviasales’ repository with translators so new strings flow automatically to the Crowdin Editor and return as merge requests, with in-context screenshots and QA reducing errors and questions. The result: multilingual app releases every two weeks, apps available in 40+ languages, roughly a 5x revenue increase and about 10x more app downloads (now >10K installs/day vs ~200 for a single-language version), plus ~15% time savings for the localization team and minimal engineering involvement.
