Case Study: eXo Platform achieves zero localization delay and 3x faster releases with Crowdin

A Crowdin Case Study

Preview of the eXo Platform Case Study

eXo Platform refused to wait 3 extra month until new product release due to localization

eXo Platform, an enterprise digital workplace software, was losing up to three extra months on each release because developers manually extracted strings, emailed them to translators, and reintegrated translations—often with poor context and quality. To streamline localization the team adopted Crowdin, using Crowdin API, Crowdin In-Context, Translation Memory and Glossary to bring translation into the development cycle.

Using Crowdin, eXo automated nightly uploads of new strings, gave translators real-time in-product context, and combined community crowdsourcing with professional proofreading; translations are integrated automatically. The result: the first post-integration release shipped in 23 languages, the product now supports 43 languages, the Crowdin project has 500+ members and 400+ volunteers, release delays dropped from three months to effectively zero (developer involvement cut to about 2 hours), and overall delivery is roughly three times faster.
