Case Study: Ask.fm achieves consistent, cross-platform localization in 49 languages with Crowdin

A Crowdin Case Study

Preview of the ASK.fm Case Study

Ask.fm made it possible to keep translations consistent and easily provided translators with context using Crowdin

ASK.fm, a global Q&A social network with over 150 million monthly users, was growing rapidly but struggled to keep translations consistent and give translators adequate context while managing localization in spreadsheets. To address this, ASK.fm turned to the Crowdin localization management platform and hired a professional localization manager to integrate localization into their development workflow.

With Crowdin, ASK.fm linked text to screenshots, used translation memory, glossaries and in-platform discussions, and automated string syncs to the codebase. The result: ASK.fm is now available in 49 languages, has translated over 1,200,000 words, maintains consistent web and mobile experiences across ~150 countries, and enjoys clearer translator management and improved translation quality thanks to Crowdin.
