A Crowdcube Case Study
Pavegen, founded in 2009, needed finance to grow its business and develop its technology that converts footsteps into electricity for high-footfall locations and real-time analytics. The company chose Crowdcube as the funding platform to help raise the capital it needed.
Using Crowdcube, Pavegen raised £1.9m from 1,473 investors in 2015. Since then, the company has rebranded, partnered with Google on a major energy-harvesting walkway at Berlin Festival of Lights, installed a renewable energy walkway in The Mercury, and secured its largest-ever contract with Bank of the West across four cities.
