Mr & Mrs Smith, founded by James Lohan MBE, is a curated boutique hotel, villas, and cultural experiences business serving over 1.5 million members. To support further growth, the company turned to Crowdcube for an equity crowdfunding raise and sought finance to expand the business.

Using Crowdcube’s equity crowdfunding platform, Mr & Mrs Smith raised £6 million from 1,958 investors, marking the platform’s largest raise outside a prospectus since the change to the private investor cap. The company also reported over £60 million in bookings in the last year and 35% year-on-year growth in booked commission revenues, with the new funding set to help it grow even further.
