Mindful Chef, a premium recipe box company founded by Giles, Myles and Rob, needed to raise £1m to fund growth after shipping more than 500,000 meals and generating £80k per week in sales. With plans to boost marketing, acquire new customers, and improve its website and mobile experience, the team turned to Crowdcube for an equity crowdfunding campaign.
Using Crowdcube, Mindful Chef launched a well-prepared, omnichannel campaign that combined email, SMS, in-box marketing, and extensive investor outreach. The campaign smashed its target in 24 hours and finished at £1,916,150 from 638 investors, or 191% funded, helping drive almost 200% year-over-year growth and later around 170% YoY growth.
