Grind is one of London’s fastest-growing hospitality brands, combining coffee, food and cocktails across multiple sites. As the business expanded from a single Shoreditch location, it needed a way to turn customers into engaged supporters who could help fuel further growth. Crowdcube supported Grind through its crowdfunding and investment platform.
With Crowdcube, Grind completed three successful raises, building a community of 1,691 investors who became passionate shareholders and brand advocates. The company raised £3.4m in its 2019 round alone, grew to 11 London locations plus a Shoreditch roastery, and reported 2018 sales of £9.4m with 16% like-for-like growth. Crowdcube helped Grind fund expansion, launch its Grind at Home range, and scale production to support demand.
