Kapsch TrafficCom, a leader in traffic management and intelligent tolling solutions, needed to stress test its free-flow toll system and especially the customer back office (CBO) CRM used to manage the full customer lifecycle, transaction loading, billing, and payments. The challenge was to validate performance and stability under extreme transaction volumes and high vehicular flow without introducing latency. Crowdar supported the Phoenix project with a performance testing approach built around JMeter and related tooling.

Crowdar delivered a scalable performance testing solution using open source tools, Docker, and real-time monitoring, with deployments that could run on-premise or in the cloud. The work included extensive service analysis, 84 JMeter endpoint scenarios, and 51 Jenkins pipelines, and it was later transferred to Kapsch teams for continuous performance testing across additional services. As a result, Kapsch was able to reduce response times in critical scenarios and use the testing framework to guide new development with performance requirements in mind.
