CityCurator is a data platform that helps companies compare cities for business expansion decisions, covering factors like workforce, salaries, industry clusters, research, universities, taxes, and operating costs. The company wanted to run exploratory testing in a short timeframe, work independently without disrupting priorities, and lay the groundwork for automated regression testing to support future releases.

Crowdar first conducted exploratory testing across web browsers and mobile devices, including Chrome, Edge, Android, and iOS, logging issues by severity in Trello so the CityCurator team could prioritize fixes. Crowdar then built an automated smoke suite using the Lippia Automation Framework to cover critical happy paths in BDD format, generating execution reports for fast release health checks; this helped CityCurator fix defects and deploy a new version before go-live.
