Putting the new Goodwood Motorsport app into top gear

Goodwood, the motorsport event organizer behind the Festival of Speed, needed a better way to manage the visitor experience across its large, crowded venues. To improve communications, wayfinding, safety, and footfall measurement, Goodwood worked with Crowd Connected and its Colocator location tracking technology as part of a new dedicated motorsport app.

Crowd Connected embedded Colocator into the app to deliver real-time crowd monitoring, location-based audience segments, interactive maps, custom dashboards, and targeted push notifications. The solution helped Goodwood reduce pinch-points, drive visitors to key areas, and measure footfall and dwell times, including reporting on nearly 80 sponsor locations; one push notification campaign saw a 16% uplift in attendance.
