A Crowd Connected Case Study

Preview of the Baku European Games Case Study

Optimising venue operations for the European Games

Baku European Games worked with Crowd Connected and Movement Strategies to understand and improve spectator movement during the “Baku Prepares” test event at the Olympic Stadium. With a small team on site, they needed a way to monitor visitor behavior both inside the venue and on the journeys to and from the stadium, using Crowd Connected’s real-time location insight platform.

Crowd Connected provided a bespoke multi-language iOS and Android app powered by the Colocator SDK, along with indoor Bluetooth beacons and real-time analytics through the Colocator web console. The solution tracked offsite travel, indoor positioning, and even discovered devices, giving the team live journey times, security screening flow rates, and communication effectiveness data that was validated with observation and infrared counting. This complete journey insight helped Baku European Games analyze stadium operations and optimize venue design and management.
